Le Four à Chaux was build in approximately 1820. The name refers to a professional limekiln that in the past was located in front of the house. The house is constructed of 50cm thick local stonewalls.

The current restoration was started in 1999 and executed step-by-step with local specialist artisans using top quality materials. Special attention was paid to preserving the Provençal tiles, ceilings and stairs.
